Description   An introduction to the United Church of Christ's
self-understanding and identity, including forms
of authorized ministry, structure (local,
regional, national), stated mission, resources,
challenges and diversity. Students will be
encouraged to become lifelong learners and
teachers of these subjects in their various
settings. Format is lecture, discussion, and
small group work. Evaluation includes in-class
participation, engagement with wider church
events, short reports, and a final paper. Not
recommended for first year students.
