   Title   FREUD
   Description   We will read through the major works of Freud's
corpus and selected other texts, focusing on his
writings on religion as well as his status as a
Jewish thinker. Readings include: The
Interpretation of Dreams, Future of an Illusion,
Civilization and Its Discontents, Totem and
Taboo, Moses and Monotheism, as well as Freud's
Moses (by Yerushalmi). M.A. students must apply
to take this course. Students will write a
substantial research paper. [10 max enrollment]
